This place is unique. They have “smoking” rooms. The staff are good country people, ie, not Indian. One of the long term tenants helped me carry my stuff up to my room. 

The guy who checked me in has some awesome tats and when I asked he said he did them himself. The shading is beyond belief.

My room is decorated in cottage theme complete with a hand made quilt. I have a awesome cable lineup on the TV and internet access.

I noticed a grill outside and hoped someone would fire it up. Someone did and I yelled “Can I throw some dogs on there when it gets ready?” He said sure.

I'm on a job assignment in Henderson KY.  I will be posting about this lovely town in the next coming week.

The Belle Meade Plantation

I visited the Belle Meade Plantation today.  What a beautiful place.  Margaret, our tour guide was AWESOME!  The history of this place is captivating.

Imagine that the Kentucky Derby was almost the Tennessee Derby.  Due to circumstances the owners were forced to sell their horses and most were bought and moved to Kentucky. Bonnie Scotland from this estate is an ancestor to the last 8 Kentucky Derby winners, remember this when making your bets next May.
